R. Kelly Moves Out Of Solitary Confinement, Wants To Be Alone In Jail Cell — Can He Now Get Bail?

Even though R. Kelly recently stated that solitary confinement was too much for him, he has also admitted that he does not want to share a cell with anyone else and would prefer to be alone instead.

It is not clear exactly what the controversial R&B singer wants at this point, although he is probably asking for more privacy while still being allowed the freedom provided to regular jail inmates, as opposed to those residing in solitary.

Mr. Kelly is facing some serious charges, and his situation certainly does not look bright on the legal side. The Chicago crooner has been accused of multiple sexual crimes, some allegedly even involving minors.

This is likely also part of the reason for his confinement in solitary. This is a typical condition for inmates who might be in danger from their fellow prisoners, as well as those who have been deemed a suicide risk.

Kelly’s lawyers recently claimed that the “Ignition (Remix)” singer was being held under conditions that were simply too strict for what he had done, and requested a more lenient situation.

It does not seem like the court is all too sympathetic with Kelly though, as the attorney’s motions have so far been in vain.

An attorney for Kelly, Steve Greenberg, gave an update on Sunday and said: “R Kelly is being moved out of solitary and in to general population. Next step is to get him bail because he should not be locked up at all!”

One supporter reacted to the news by saying: “Lock up some of those rock stars that had sex with preteens. they keep putting R Kelly in the news to distract you from Epstein.”

A critic hit back with: “As black people, we need to start holding our people accountable for the things they do! Stop worrying about white people and start doing things that are going to better our community because they do not give an F about us.”

The “I Believe I Can Fly” artist is also facing another set of charges on top of those for sexual crimes, so it looks like his future is going to be very challenging on the legal front at this point.

Kelly has made very few comments on his situation and has preferred to stay silent about it for the most part.
