For many fans of Ariana Grande, her iconic ponytail is something that invariably is part of the singer’s image. So when the 24-year-old appeared on the cover of the British Vogue for its July issue with her hair let loose, she caused quite a stir.
The photo shoot was done by photographer Craig McDean, whereas the hairstyle was concocted by Chris Appleton, who works with many celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez.
On the cover, Ariana’s ash blond hair falls freely, and instead of her signature cat-eye liner makeup, the pop star was presented in a more natural look. Moreover, they opted for minimal makeup.
Before starting to pursue her music career, Ariana was involved with acting. She confessed in the past that her role on the Nickelodeon TV series Victorious and the spinoff Sam & Cat required her hair to be maintained in red color for years.
According to the “Side to Side” singer, the constant dyeing caused devastating results to the health of her hair, and this is one of the reasons why she relied so much on her famous ponytail style.
However, it appears that the pop diva’s outlook might be changing and the cover of her single “No Tears Left to Cry” may be the perfect proof for her transition.
When Ariana released the song in April, it did not take long for her followers to notice that she wore her ponytail different from usual in the cover art.
On the image, the singer is photographed from the side, with her hair held much lower than usual, on the back of her neck.
The famous artist has entered a new chapter in her life and started dating Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson and has joked on social media about having his children.
Ariana was previously linked to rapper Mac Miller.
