Not many people who have been following E! News likely expected to hear about Catt Sadler’s departure, considering how long she has been around and her popularity.
However, this is apparently exactly what is happening at the network, according to recent reports.
The decision was not an easy one for Sadler, who explained that this was her dream job, and she felt very much at home there, especially with regards to her closeness to her co-workers.
But, it appears that one of those co-workers managed to become the reason for her unexpected exit, albeit unintentionally.
According to the Martinsville, IN native, the main reason behind her decision was finding out that co-host Jason Kennedy earns more than her, twice as much in fact.
The network was quick to respond to the public statement, claiming that they do not condone inequality in their working environment, and they believe that they compensate everyone justly according to their performance and involvement.
In the end, the experience left the 43-year-old former anchor feeling insulted, she added, and she was disappointed with the conclusion of her story at E! News after all the work she had committed.
On the bright side, it, at least, seems like the friendship between Sadler and Kennedy has not suffered from the whole ordeal.
It does not appear that there is any animosity from her towards him, and the problem is mostly with the network itself from what we have been able to learn.
However, the decision seems final, and Sadler will now have to look for new opportunities while also taking care of her two boys.
Sadler is very thankful for the love and support; she has received after the news was made public.
She believes it was the right one although the process was not simple and it required a lot of courage.
