Barack Obama Compares Aspects Of Donald Trump’s America To Nazi Germany: Is This A Winning Political Strategy?

Barack Obama Donald Trump Adolf Hitler

With the way things have been going on the global political scene lately, some people have started to develop a certain dose of skepticism for the future. It seems like some former leaders agree that things are not going as well as they should, as former President Barack Obama recently made a statement in which he wanted to remind people to remember the importance of democracy in their lives.

According to Obama’s speech, the situation could potentially deteriorate very fast if people become too careless, and this is something Americans absolutely must avoid. Preventing this is all about caring for democracy and putting in an effort to preserve it, but that is something that should come from everyone, not just individual contributors.

And as some are probably guessing, the speech eventually steered into the direction of making analogies between the current situation and the way things were going in Nazi Germany before Adolf Hitler’s party truly rose to power. Of course, he is far from the first one to make such a startling statement, and it can be argued that the power of comparing U.S. politics to Nazi Germany could get a little worn out if this gets repeated too often, but he does have a point.

Are we moving in a direction that nobody wants to go in, and is it too late to reverse the train? It is probably not a good idea to jump to such negative conclusions, but it is also important to keep both eyes open and focused on the issues at hand.

Fox News host Ed Henry said that Obama should have been more honest in his statement and just call out his successor President Donald Trump. According to Henry, Obama was more or less calling Tump the new Hitler.

The journalist explained, “If you are Barack Obama and you want to deliver a punch, why not just say it? Why are you playing these games and saying that ‘the 1930s in Germany,’ he is basically comparing this president to Hitler, to the Nazis. Say it!”

Some say Democrats should just focus on getting their people out like they did in Alabama to win elections and not do the name-calling. At the same time, grassroots conservatives compared Obama to Hitler for eight years and it served them well, so the tactic might be a good one politically.
