La La Anthony and her good friend, Kim Kardashian, went to one of the biggest weddings of the year last week, and it seems that the two pals had a blast.
The ladies were happy to celebrate the love between tennis living legend Serena Williams and tech mogul Alexis Ohanian, the proud parents of a baby girl born a few months ago.
The stunning Power actress took to social media and shared some photos from the big gathering and called it a “royal ball.”
Anthony opted to wear a burgundy Vera Wang gown and matching shoes, while Kardashian picked a tight black dress which embraced her curves perfectly. Beyonce, Ciara, and Kelly Rowland were also in attendance.
The former radio personality is having an exciting year. Anthony’s career is taking her to new places, and she is now a major player on the social networking sites.
However, she also had to deal with a pending divorce from her husband of seven years, NBA star Carmelo Anthony. The athlete found himself in a cheating scandal with another woman claiming that she was carrying his baby.
The news dominated the tabloids and people were curious to see where the estranged couple was going to take their relationship. Carmelo left New York for Oklahoma, and this trade was supposed to bring more clarity to the situation, but it was not the case.
Fans are still looking for clues left and right, but they should not expect La La to help them in their search, she is handling the whole thing with class, dignity, and away from the media.
She recently covered Latina magazine’s Winter 2017 digital issue and did not share much about the status of her marriage.
La La said: “When you entertain [rumors] you give them power. Only I know what’s going on with my relationship and that is what matters to me, not what everybody else thinks.”
She also added: “I am trying to be an example for other women out there. You do not have to feed into the bulls–t. Deal with it quietly. When it is time for the world to know, they will know. There’s no strength in playing it out publicly. What am I going to gain from that? I like the high road.”
It is safe to say that this strategy makes a lot of sense on different levels. By not feeding the beast, La La keeps it alive and well.
Being a topic of conversations is often a good thing for a career in the entertainment industry.
