According to recent news, a new celebrity marriage will be happening soon, as David Foster and Katharine McPhee have announced their engagement.
Foster asked the important question on Sunday while the two of them were enjoying their holiday in Capri, Italy.
The former American Idol contestant expressed her excitement over what happened by sharing an image of a text conversation about the engagement.
Apparently, Foster took his soon-to-be-fiancée to the top of a mountain in Anacapri during a starry night.
The Scorpion actress even added a joke, saying she was thankful he did not push her off the edge of the cliff.
The couple was spotted in different locations on the previous days, once at Aurora in Capri for a dinner date on Saturday, and on the following day, the two of them were accompanied by friends for lunch at the restaurant La Scoglio.
Fans and critics have taken to social media to share their opinion about this engagement.
One of them said, “Congrats Kat and Dave enjoy your life. Have fun as you both experience life at almost both ends. What luck. for both of you to have each other.”
This is going to be only the second marriage for the 34-year-old actress and singer, while the 68-year-old Canadian musician has tied the knot on four previous occasions.
The list of Foster’s former wives includes B.J. Cook, Rebecca Dyer, Linda Thompson, and Yolanda Hadid, the mother of the supermodels Bella and Gigi Hadid.
Foster’s marriage to Hadid lasted four years, and the couple separated in 2016.
Meanwhile, McPhee also divorced her ex-husband, Nick Cokas, in 2016 after it was discovered she was cheating on him with the director of the Smash series, Michael Morris in 2013.
Back in 2017, when Foster was asked how he felt about marriage after so many failed ones, he humorously explained that even though he was terrible at being married, he still liked the concept.
