Even though Miley Cyrus was desperately trying to convince the world that she was splitting up with Liam Hemsworth on good terms; many immediately questioned her statements, given the way the breaking up news emerged in the media, and her subsequent behavior.
And it did not take long for the finger-pointing to begin. A series of recent reports have painted the situation in a much more dramatic, unpleasant light for the former couple.
According to a source from Cyrus’s side, she had a problem with the way Hemsworth wanted to live his life, drinking heavily and using various kinds of drugs.
Because Cyrus herself had dealt with issues of substance abuse in her past, this was a serious problem for her, and one that she was not willing to just let go. The person also claimed: “There was no hooking up behind his back or with his knowledge.”
Both sides seem to have a different story. According to reports from people close to Hemsworth, not only did he not have any substance abuse issues, but he had a serious problem with the fact that Miley apparently could not stay faithful to him.
One of Hemsworth’s pal reached out to TMZ and said this: “This is another attempt by Miley to distract from her infidelity and recent outrageous public behavior.”
Cyrus and her rumored girlfriend, Kaitlynn Carter, were reportedly spotted making out at Soho House in West Hollywood.
An insider told Page Six: “They were obsessed with each other. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other. They were kissing and making out everywhere. In the bathroom, at the bar, in the middle of the floor. They were basically having sex. There’s no question they’re together.”
It is not clear who is telling the truth right now, but it is worth noting that many of the singer’s fans seem to be doubting her story and leaning towards supporting Hemsworth, judging by comments on social media.
Cyrus has already shown herself to be capable of scandalous behavior in the past, and it looks like many could be easily convinced that she was the one to cause the problems in her marriage, and not Hemsworth. However, that is still under a significant question mark.
One person jumped in the diva’s comment section to bash her and said: “Never should have gotten married. – your “evolution “as you call it didn’t just begin. If you didn’t love him 100% why screw with him and marry him. Sorry, you don’t change your mind in less than a year. He has been supportive of you. You should have shown him some respect by acting respectfully regarding your failed relationship for at least a week instead of kissing some girl and announcing a split on the same day. Shows how little you have matured…”
Another commenter blamed her for the failed marriage: “She is not fit to have a real relationship with anyone, and she is not balanced and too immature for that. Poor Liam, I think he believed in it, it’s not nastiness, but he deserves better than her.”
A third follower wanted to share this comment: “I’m sorry, but I lost all respect for her when she announced her divorce and was seen kissing another woman on the same day. I understand that there may have personal issues in the marriage the public is unaware of, but at least have some decency and let it all settle before screwing around with some girl…. geez she needs to grow up and get some self-control.”
A fourth Instagram user revealed: “It isn’t evolution, and it’s lack of commitment, lack of respect for the man you made promises too, immaturity, lack of education, unfounded idealism, narcissism, histrionic behaviors, uneven mood swings, exhibitionism, and complete disregard for the word of God you profess to believe.”
The split is starting to look like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in the media, with two PR narratives going at it non-stop.
