Nelly’s Accuser Monique Greene Is Suing Him Because Of A Statement He Made After The Rape Case Was Abandoned

Nelly Accuser Monique Greene Suing

Following his arrest in October, rapper Nelly is now being sued for sexual misconduct, after he denied all accusations.

Nelly, real name Cornell Haynes Jr., spent some time in custody after Monique Greene accused him of raping her on a tour bus.

The alleged act of violence occurred when the vehicle was in the parking lot at a shopping center in Auburn, near Seattle.

The “Dilemma” artist was visiting the area as part of his tour with the country-pop group Florida Georgia Line.

Nelly’s attorney denied all allegations made by the 22-year-old student.

Recently, the case against him reached a dead end, since the victim was not cooperating with the prosecutors.

It was a public statement by Nelly that made the victim change her mind.

Last week, he claimed that Greene was faking her story, and as a result, she decided to stand up for herself.

According to the student’s lawyer, Karen Koehler, up until now, she wanted to stay anonymous.

Usually, the names of victims of rape are not revealed to the public, but Koehler said that her client wanted to stay out of the shadows.

The rapper’s attorney, Scott Rosenblum, stated he was far from surprised by the upcoming suit as it was expected.

It is believed that a counter-suit will be filed, as it is claimed that greed drives Greene in her quest for justice.

In a statement released last week after prosecutors revealed their intention not to move forward, Nelly and his legal team stated, “Credible evidence did show this accuser to be deceptive.”

This attack on the alleged victim’s character was not well received by people close to her.

Nelly gained a massive following in the early 2000s with his album Country Grammar. His success continued with the release of records like Nellyville and Sweat and Suit.

Among his most famous songs are “Ride with Me,” “Just a Dream,” and “Hot in Here.”
