Matt Lauer Is Still Hoping For A TV Comeback After ‘TODAY’ Show Firing: Report

Matt Lauer TODAY Show Future Television

After everything that happened around former TODAY co-anchor Matt Lauer, hardly anyone expects the disgraced journalist to get back on his feet quickly and brush off the recent incident.

And according to rumors, that appears to be precisely the case. Sources allegedly close to Lauer claim that the host has been in a terrible place after being accused of sexual misconduct and getting fired from the NBC morning show, and he has been feeling broken and ashamed.

At the same time, it seems like people around him are still somewhat supportive despite the allegations. Not everyone has been willing to take everything said about him as fact, and some are apparently waiting to see some more official evidence that the claims are valid before judging him.

This must at least be some consolation for Lauer in his current state of mind, as having support in a situation like this can make all the difference for many people. And to be fair to Lauer, he has lost most of his support after the accusations came to light, and many personalities quickly distanced themselves from him.

This could even extend to his own wife, Annette Roque, according to additional rumors, as the situation between the couple has apparently been a very odd one recently.

There have been conflicting reports of him getting push out from their home, and it is not clear if they will choose to stay together for good after the whole fiasco is over. And in the end, hardly anyone would probably blame her either, at least if the accusations turned out to be true.

According to insiders, despite the dark cloud around his future, Lauer remains convinced that he did not do anything that damaging and still believes that he can have a career in television.

He keeps himself busy by giving unsolicited advice to former colleagues and working on a possible comeback in the limelight.
