Daymond John Calls Mark Cuban ‘Mr. President’ At 2017 American Music Awards: Is He Going To Challenge Donald Trump In 2020?

Mark Cuban 2017 American Music Awards 'Mr. President'

Business mogul and reality TV star Mark Cuban was a presenter at the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday and one of the other people who took the stage with him, his colleague, Daymond John, called him, “Mr. President.”

People saw this as a strong indication that the Shark Tank is seriously considering a run for president in 2020.

Mr. Cuban, who campaigned for Hillary Clinton in 2016, has been very open in recent months about a possible foray into politics.

Although he has exchanged a few emails with President Donald Trump and some of his supporters like Steve Bannon, the Dallas Mavericks co-owner has been very critical of the current administration and its lack of accomplishments.

Bannon, being his mischievous self, has encouraged Cuban to seek the highest office in the land as a member of the Democratic Party.

However, this is not something that seems to be very appealing to the businessman from Pittsburgh, PA because he sees himself as someone who is “fiercely independent.”

Cuban has indicated that he is more interested in running as a Republican and challenge Trump in the primary.

In an October interview on Fox News’ Objectified, Cuban told host Harvey Levin: “I think there’s a place for somebody who is socially a centrist, but I am very fiscally conservative.”

The 59-year-old entrepreneur added: “I would not run unless I have solutions. If I have solutions, then I have something to offer. If I do not, you will not see me anywhere near being a politician.”

Levin appears convinced that Cuban is going to give this presidential thing a shot. The former lawyer and TMZ head revealed: “My sense is there is an extremely good chance Mark Cuban is going to run for president of the United States.”

Trump supporters are not taken a potential Cuban run lightly and have been busy posting old unflattering photos of him on social media.
