Johnny Depp’s Extraordinary Expenses Revealed — Actor Wanted To Help His Image, But Made Things Worse

It seems one of the perks of being an ultra-successful movie star is the ability to buy anything one could desire, and actor Johnny Depp is no exception.

In a recent interview that was released earlier this month, the celebrity claimed he is used to spending the shocking amount of $30,000 monthly only on wine.

Depp’s remark on his extraordinary taste for wine is, in fact, a reference to the ongoing lawsuit based on allegations made by his ex-manager that the actor is too frivolous when it comes to spending.

However, the star from Pirates of the Caribbean is not restricted to being only an enthusiast for the elegant alcoholic drink, as he reportedly also enjoyed the luxury of using private planes for transportation, which cost him $200,000 a month.

Other extravagant expenses that the famous actor faces are $300,000 per month for the salaries of his 40-member group of employees, $18 million for his yacht, $4 million that were invested in a record label which did not turn out to be profitable, and the whopping $3 million for the ability to fire the ashes of Hunter S. Thompson as ammunition for a cannon.

Even though Depp did not comment on most of the numbers, the only thing he argued was the sum paid for the remains of Thompson. According to the actor, the price was not $3 million, but $5 million instead.

The legendary entertainer claimed the cost was so high because he wished to shoot the ashes of the renowned author higher in the atmosphere than the height of the Statue of Liberty, which is 151 feet.

Ironically, Depp was trying to rehabilitate his image when he agreed to do the story with Rolling Stone. Instead, he has done more damage to his name and reputation.

Experts say the whole thing might hurt his career even more. Fans are still hoping for a rebound.
