Madonna Gets Called ‘Racist’ For Photoshopped Image Of Beyonce And Jay-Z’s Video

Madonna played a joke on Beyonce that seems to be backfiring for her and causing some minor backlash on the Internet.

The joke involved a Photoshopped picture taken from the new video for “Apesh*t” by Beyonce.

In the frame, Beyonce and Jay-Z can be seen appreciating art in the Louvre, but Madonna’s edit replaced all paintings with her own various album covers.

The picture was topped with the caption “Learning from the Master… lol.” However, it did not take long for negative comments to start pouring in and making fun of Madonna, who was quick to edit the caption to read “Learning from the Teacher… lol.”

That was not the end of it though –- the comments just kept coming in, and eventually, Madonna changed the caption to merely say “Learning… lol”.

No response has been given by Beyonce or Jay-Z themselves, although it would not be surprising if the stars actually found this incident funnier than their own fans.

It is just another example that shows the power of online fan communities these days, and that this is a force to be reckoned with.

Celebrities who are not careful with how they maintain their image stand to lose a lot from making the wrong remark and Madonna just learned this the hard way.

Thankfully, nothing too bad ended up happening when this was over, as there have definitely been more serious incidents of Internet crowds annihilating celebrities and causing permanent damage to their images. In some cases, it even happens for practically no good reason at all.

Beyonce is the leader of the Beyhive, one of the most powerful and organized groups of fans on the Web.

Some of Madonna’s critics in this situation saw her initial tweet through racial lenses — a white woman talking about being a “master” to a black couple.
