Matt Lauer’s Original Accuser Is Living In Fear, Claims Lawyer Ari Wilkenfeld

Now that the cat is out of the bag for Matt Lauer, the former TODAY co-host is in a lot of trouble. It looks like there is no end in sight to the problematic situation for him, and new revelations keep coming out, with various people recalling compromising encounters with him from their past.

However, one person does not seem too happy about all this attention. The woman, who initially started all this by throwing the first accusation at Mr. Lauer, reportedly lives in fear that one day her identity is going to get leaked to the world.

Not much is known about the woman, who has chosen to stay anonymous for obvious reasons, other than the fact that Ari Wilkenfeld is representing her. Her attorney has been very insistent in protecting his client’s confidentiality, and he has been handling the case professionally, according to reports.

An insider goes on to say that there is apparently an active attempt to find out who the woman is right now, with people working around the clock behind the scenes to uncover her identity. According to Wilkenfeld, this has brought her to a state of terror, as she does not want to be hunted for the rest of her life.

The attorney explained: “She showed her face, she gave her name, she told her story, and at the conclusion of the interview she was asked, ‘What do you want?’ And she said, ‘I want you guys to do the right thing and, also, I would like you guys to maintain my confidentiality.’”

Wilkenfeld added that he believes NBC has not been responsible enough in maintaining his client’s privacy, and the network could have done more to protect her identity.

The exact extent of those issues will likely come to light in the near future as the story around Lauer unfolds.
