Fergie Opens Up About Her Drug Addiction Months After Josh Duhamel Split

In a recent interview, Fergie revealed the darkest side of her life.

Before joining the Black Eyed Peas, the singer was part of the group Wild Orchid. That is when she developed an addiction to crystal methamphetamine which followed her for many years to come.

The famous singer recently opened up about her issues with health, both on the mental as well as the physical side.

The “Big Girls Don’t Cry” singer admitted that she was paranoid and losing her mind, and the effects lingered for a long time after she was off the drugs for good, making it hard for her to readjust.

The mother of one explained: “I was [suffering from] chemically-induced psychosis and dementia. I was hallucinating on a daily basis. It took a year after getting off that drug for the chemicals in my brain to settle so that I stopped seeing things. I’d just be sitting there, seeing a random bee or bunny.”

The artist suffered from massive hallucinations and had a constant paranoia that CIA, FBI, and others were after her.

This fear of hers led to the realization that the drugs were messing up with her mind, and she was always paranoid of the authorities waiting to apprehend her for unknown reasons, and stalking her outside of her home.

At least some good has come out of it, as Fergie is now quite more mature and experienced with life.

In her interview with iNews, she also added that she actually feels thankful for having gone through that experience, as it has helped her grow and become a better person.

As of September 2017, the singer is now officially single, as she and Josh Duhamel announced that they had separated earlier this year.

Despite this, they will continue to raise their son together in the future. Fergie is enjoying a big musical comeback this year with hit songs like “M.I.L.F. $.”
