Jennifer Hudson’s Ex-Fiancé David Otunga Gets Temporary Custody Of Son After Split

Despite the conflict between Jennifer Hudson and her ex-fiancé, David Otunga, it seems like the two have at least found some compromise with regards to the custody of their son, and as of now, Otunga has primary custody of the boy.

The decision is only temporary, however, and is apparently motivated by the busy working schedule of the Oscar-winning actress, who has been finding it hard to keep paying enough attention to David Jr.

There was some speculation that Mr. Otunga could end up moving back in with Hudson in Chicago, but that is apparently not happening, at least not anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Hudson’s schedule has been putting her all over the world, primarily flying between the UK and US for different sessions.

At least it seems that things are warming up somewhat in the relationship between the two, as the lawyer and wrestler is apparently no longer bound by the restraining order Hudson was granted against him some time ago.

Back then, Hudson expressed worries about the behavior of Otunga, claiming that she needed the order due to his threatening demeanor.

Another side to the incident is that Hudson might find it more difficult to get a new restraining order in the future if their exchanges go sour again, so hopefully things between the two stars will get ironed out sooner or later, and they will be able to at least take care of their young boy as a relatively normal pair of parents.

It would be sad for young David Jr. to end up affected the most by all of this.

The estranged couple got engaged in September 2008 and welcomed their only child in August 2009. They spent years pushing back the wedding ceremony and eventually gave up altogether.

Hudson’s career is booming again, thanks to her stint on UK and US version of the hit reality show, The Voice.
