Melania Trump Wears White Pantsuit At SOTU And Some Believe That She Was Paying Homage To Hillary Clinton

Melania Trump SOTU Outfit Hillary Clinton

First Lady Melania Trump chose an all-white outfit for President Donald Trump’s first State of the Union speech in contrast to last year when she showed up to a joint address to Congress dressed in black.

Mrs. Trump stood out from the rest of the women in the hall with her glamorous custom-made pantsuit by Dior. She also paired her looks with a silk shirt by Dolce & Gabbana and nude-colored heels from Louboutin.

Some were quick to say that Mrs. Trump was paying homage to failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton who once wore something similar. However, her aides have rejected any form of symbolism behind the clothes she wore.

Although she was not wearing any sparkling accessories, there was still a shiny one that got a lot of attention — her engagement ring.

Also, while Melania’s choice of color for the occasion was all white, the women from the Democratic Party preferred to dress in all-black clothes to express their support for the “Me Too” and “Time’s Up” movements.

Congresswoman Lois Frankel stated the reason for this was to express their solidarity with the victims of sexual harassment and abuse, as well as those who were seeking economic security and gender equality.

The former model, however, chose not to join the tribute and even broke a long-lasting tradition by not entering the United States Capitol, in Washington, D.C. with the president for his appearance on Tuesday evening.

This is only the second time the mother of one has been seen in public with Trump since the middle of January. Apparently, she is still angry with her husband because of the scandal involving porn star Stormy Daniels from earlier this month.

Since the rumors of Trump’s alleged affair broke out, Melania has been actively avoiding her spouse. She even flew away to Florida for spa treatments instead of joining the Republican politician for his planned trip to Davos in Europe.

Of course, the White House and people associated with the president have denied the cheating allegations, but the damage has already been done.
