Some were wondering when Megyn Kelly would decide to say something about Jane Fonda and speak out against her, and it looks like the moment has finally arrived.
On her own show, Kelly took a lot of time discussing what she perceived as inadequacies in Fonda, both regarding her attitude as well as her appearance.
Among the points brought up were the fact that Fonda had gone through plastic surgery, as well as her opposing stance towards the Vietnam War, something which got her a lot of negativity some time ago.
It looks like many people still have not forgotten either, as her reputation from that time still haunts her, and the incident keeps getting brought up in various contexts.
Kelly actually went all in with her rant and seemed determined to completely break down Fonda’s character, at least as much as she was capable of.
Moreover, in the end, she seems to have had at least some effect, as the Internet is all over her roast and many people have been discussing the incident since the episode aired.
However, Kelly did also claim that this was the last resort for her, and she was trying her best to ignore the negative comments until now, but it was no longer possible at this point.
She also accused Fonda of being the one still hung up on the interactions between the two, and she claimed that the Hollywood legend’s attitude was the main reason for her outburst on her show. It remains to be seen if Fonda will respond in kind.
What is clear though, the incident was not a clear win for Kelly because social media was all over her segment and some even said it was a form of meltdown.
More cynical voices even said that Kelly went there for more ratings.
