Some strange developments have been happening around Oprah Winfrey, as recent reports indicate that she is apparently considering aiming for the spot of the U.S. president.
While it is not clear how she is planning to run her campaign exactly, the reports are apparently coming from people in her close circle, and are therefore taking in a serious manner by some in the media.
The rumors go on to say that Oprah has actually been considering this for a while, and this is far from the first time that she has made a reference to her presidential ambitions.
However, she also does not have a clear plan yet, and it will apparently take a while for her ideas to materialize properly.
This could also mean that she might eventually give up on that plan, but nobody can say for sure at this point. We saw Donald Trump run and win, so hardly anyone would be surprised if the next U.S. president turned out to be none other than television mogul.
It also sounds like she has the active support of those around her in the idea, and she has been getting a lot of encouragement from close friends.
Last, but definitely not least, it is worth remembering that Oprah has a solid public standing, and she enjoys the respect of millions of people, which could give her campaign the initial boost it needs.
If these plans materialize in some form over the next few years, we are going to see one exciting presidential race, especially if Oprah ends up running against Trump for his second term in office.

Trump’s White House has taken notice of the #Oprah2020 craze that has taken over social media in the past 24 hours.
One of the president sons — Donald Trump, Jr. — went after NBC for posting and deleting a tweet that appeared to back an Oprah run and First Daughter Ivanka Trump praised the speech delivered by the trailblazer at the Golden Globes.
