Michael Wolff has been a very controversial name in U.S. politics lately, and it looks like his reputation and expressive nature might end up costing him a bit.
After he made certain comments about Megyn Kelly, describing her as heartless and shameless, she now refuses to host an episode of her show featuring him, despite an apparent active interest in that from her audience.
Wolff also implied that Kelly is in a special position within the NBC network at the moment, being a person nobody trusts and wants to do business with. That could additionally explain his disposition towards her, and of course, it sheds some extra light on her refusal to host him on the show Megyn Kelly Today.
Meanwhile, Wolff himself has been getting more and more attention in political circles, as his book continues to generate controversy. While Donald Trump’s administration maintains that the book should not be taken at face value, it might be too late as it has already managed to draw a lot of attention, and much of it negative.
There have been some interesting claims about the way Wolff has apparently written the book, with implications that he has fabricated some of the “facts” in it, but that would be difficult to prove at this point. Plus, Wolff has already achieved his desired effect either way, so it might be too late to refute anything he has said anyway. It will indeed be interesting to follow the developments around his book and see how it impacts the scene though.
After getting turned down by Kelly, the controversial author was interviewed by Savannah Guthrie on the TODAY show Friday. He has also appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe Monday where he was challenged a bit about some of the inaccuracies in the book.
He did admit some of his sources did lead him on the wrong path occasionally.
