Tiffany Haddish’s New York Film Critics Circle 20-Minute Speech Was A Great Way To Cap The Past Six Months Of Her Career

Tiffany Haddish New York Film Critics Circle Speech

Things seem to be running pretty great for Tiffany Haddish in a professional aspect.

The American comedian, who came to fame for her role in the film Girls Trip, has recently taken part in a Saturday Night Live hosting gig, as well as heading towards her own national comedian tour.

The comedian has also published a new memoir, The Last Black Unicorn, where she talks about the obstacles that have to be overcome by women in the comedy business.

In a chapter from the book, she shares past experiences she faced on her way to fame during the early stages of her career.

According to the Haddish, she has lost track of how many times she was approached by men, trying to sexually assault her, while she was attempting to make it in the Los Angeles comedy scene.

The book offers a lot of examples involving unnamed men, connected with the comedy industry, trying to take advantage of the young struggling actress and comedian.

Although she stayed firm and always refused, not all of her female colleagues managed to remain strong.

Now, the comedian always advises young female comics to stay tight with moral values and not to give in to temptations, as this turns out to be a more successful strategy in the long run.

The only exception from the mob of horny men for Haddish is Kevin Hart, who she calls her “comedy guardian angel.”

Hart had helped Haddish in rough times, especially with encouraging her when she had no roof over her head.

In 2018, we will most likely see Haddish in the comedy movies Night School, alongside Mr. Hart and also taking the lead on Limited Partners for Paramount Pictures.

The 38-year-old Los Angeles native won Best Supporting Actress at the New York Film Critics Circle on Wednesday, and her 20-minute speech went viral for her bluntness.
