Mandy Teefey, Selena Gomez’s mother recently had to be taken to a hospital in Los Angeles to get checked out.
With the renewed relationship between the “It Ain’t Me” singer and her Canadian crooner boyfriend Justin Bieber, fans are speculating whether this has something to do with Mandy’s poor condition.
After all, it is common knowledge that Selena’s family is entirely against her reunion with the “Sorry” artist.
Apparently, Mandy was very angered and frustrated when she got the news about her daughter’s rekindled love.
That is when she understood that the relationship between Selena and Justin is more serious than expected.
However, this is not the sole reason for Mandy’s visit to the hospital, as reports claim that she decided to go voluntarily.
Selena’s mother wanted to make sure everything with her is okay, and she decided to get checked up just in case.
According to a source from Bieber’s side, the singer is not trying to create any distance between his girlfriend and her family.
He is totally aware of the fact that Selena’s family is not quite enthusiastic about him, but he is trying to behave like a better boyfriend this time.
Mandy recently posted an emotional series of photos on her Instagram in memory of her miscarried daughter Scarlett.
She lost her child on December 17th, 2011, forever changing that date for her.
In photos, the pregnant Mandy can be seen with a smiling Selena placing her hand on her mom’s belly. Another image shows Mandy holding Selena as a baby.
The family expresses their grief by writing letters for Scarlett on red balloons and afterward releasing them in the sky.
The problems between Selena and her mother started in 2014 after the talented entertainer decided to fire her as manager.
According to insiders, they spent months without talking to each other following the end of their business relationship.
