The divorce of Fuller House star Jodie Sweetin and Impostor actor Morty Coyle is moving forward, according to reports, with the issue of child support finally being settled.
The final judgment may leave a bitter taste in Sweetin’s mouth though, as her ex-husband was awarded $2,800 a month in child support payments.
The order is in effect until the high school graduation of the couple’s daughter, Beatrix, which means it will expire around 11 years from now.
Sweetin will actually have to make additional payments for back pay, although it does not sound like the court hit her too hard on that part of the judgment.
It has been four years since the two decided to split up, following a very short marriage that lasted just about a year.
Moreover, while many thought that the divorce proceedings were finalized last year, it seems like the matter of child support was more complicated to resolve, which is why it took so long to conclude.
The court took an in-depth look at Sweetin’s financial situation and all assets under her name, and the decision is based on an extensive investigation into that.
While the sum may seem a bit high for some people’s standards, it is important to remember that Sweetin has a significant reported income, which should make the situation much less stressful for her.
Of course, this could change if her career goes downhill over the next years, but at that point, the court would probably revise the situation and rule on a new amount instead.
After the order was finalized, Sweetin, 35, opted to take her children on a nice vacation to Maui in Hawaii.
Sources close to the Full House actress say that she is grateful and joyful to put all of this drama behind.
