Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Is Not Running Against Donald Trump In 2020 — Jokingly Blames His “Jumanji” Co-Star Kevin Hart For The Decision

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson 2020 Donald Trump

There has been a strange wave of rumors recently, claiming that wrestling and Hollywood star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson could be eyeing the U.S. president’s position.

And while many of The Rock’s fans were apparently on board with the idea, it does not look like this is going to happen anytime soon.

In fact, things got so far that a group of people has been trying to bring The Rock into the spotlight as a new candidate, and while he seems to be happy with the attention, he also does not have any intention of running for the post in 2020.

The Rock had a few jokes to make about the situation, and he does not seem to be taking any of it too seriously.

The Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actor was a guest on BBC One’s The Graham Norton Show Friday and he jokingly blamed co-star Kevin Hart for his decision not to seek the highest office in the land.

Of course, this has not discouraged his supporters in the slightest, as some believe that the star might still make a serious consideration for the presidency.

And to be fair, he just might stand a chance, jokes aside. Arnold Schwarzenegger made it to a governor’s position, and with Donald Trump in the White House, who is to say that someone as famous and well-liked as Mr. Johnson could not stand a chance?

Of course, when he is unwilling to go for it, there is nothing that can be done about the matter, but his fans can certainly continue to dream of the possibility.

For now, others are more focused on speculating whether Trump’s inevitable second run will have a good chance of being successful, and even though there is still a long time to go until then, it is a somewhat hot topic with the former reality TV star’s poll numbers being in the red.
