Things keep getting worse and worse for Matt Lauer, who was recently accused of sexual misconduct and fired from his position as co-host of NBC morning program, the TODAY show.
Recent reports show that Lauer’s life is suffering on the inside and not just on the professional side, as now his wife, Annette Roque, has supposedly moved out — not just from the house, but from the country as a whole.
Insiders further claim that Roque has taken the couple’s two children with her as well, but there seems to be no official confirmation of these statements.
If the reports are accurate though, Roque, who is a former model and mother of three, is currently in the Netherlands and could be close to her mother who reportedly lives in the European country.
Neither Lauer nor Roque has made any official comments on the situation.
Lauer is expected to remain silent for a while, as pretty much nothing he says right now can improve things for him.
It is worth pointing out that the couple has had issues in the past, around a decade ago, which almost led to their divorce.
While that did not happen then, things are looking much worse now, and it is not likely that they will stay together after this scandal.
The story around Lauer continues to develop, and it is likely that new details are going to keep coming out in the next few days/weeks.
