Chris Pratt Anna Faris Divorce

It looks like the near-decade-old marriage between Anna Faris and Chris Pratt is about to come to an end, as Pratt has officially filed for divorce.

He has additionally stated that he wants to split the custody over their son, Jack Pratt. The two parties will have to reach an agreement on that issue.

Divorce proceedings are often messy, especially in the celebrity world with all the attention focused on the different players involved.

At least, Faris does not seem to have any objections to the proposal, according to additional reports, and she may even be willing to accept the joint custody arrangement. It remains to be seen if the court will approve of that.

Fans of Mr. Pratt, who have been following the situation around him, are probably hardly surprised by the revelation, as it has already been a few months since the couple made a public announcement that they have decided to part ways.

Many refused to believe that this would actually happen though, and there were some hopeful voices in online discussions, but most of them lingered on the fact that there has been no official announcement of a divorce yet.

In June, the estranged couple put out the following statement: “We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.”

Things are likely going to be difficult for their son Jack, who is 5 years old, but it is also entirely possible that this is all for the better for him.

If there really is such a major level of disagreement between Pratt and Faris, it could be better for them to live separately and take care of him on their own terms.

The Mom actress did file at the same time, and both entertainers have cited irreconcilable differences in the documents that were leaked to press.
