Modern celebrity relationship drama can take on some peculiar forms, and bickering over social media is far from a rarity.
Sometimes entertainers use their favorite social networking platforms to issue subtle messages to one another while also keeping their fans in the loop, and some are suspecting that a recent post by Selena Gomez, titled “all apologies,” could have been precisely that.
Fans of the star may recall that she recently went through a nasty breakup with The Weeknd, culminating in the singer deleting all photos of his ex-girlfriend from his Instagram page.
Many saw that as a move that was meant to distance him from his past relationship as much as possible, as it seems like Miss Gomez has reignited the sparks of love with Justin Bieber.
However, if fans are correct in deciphering the intent of the message, what could this say about the actual state of the relationship between Gomez and Bieber?
From what we can see on the public side, the two have been getting along quite well recently, to the point where they are already looking for a place to live together.
It could just be that Gomez wants to cut her ties with the R&B crooner as cleanly as possible, and she does not want to leave any bad feelings lingering in the air after the breakup.
And for all we know, the two could still be in touch behind the scenes and communicating their issues in a healthier, more productive way than cryptic Instagram posts.
In a recent interview with Billboard, the “Fetish” singer shared: “Something that I’m really proud of is that there’s such a true friendship [between The Weeknd and me]. I truly have never experienced anything like that in my life. We ended it as best friends, and it was genuinely about encouraging and caring [for each other], and that was pretty remarkable for me.”
Some supporters think she is just painting a rosy picture to cover the breakup.
