Despite recent claims that Tom Cruise might be in the process of negotiating a custody deal with his ex-wife, Katie Holmes, for daughter Suri. There is apparently no truth to that at the moment.
The report generated some buzz for a while as fans of both stars were wondering what side the negotiations might swing in, but now, the conflicting new statements have seemingly put most on edge, as the lack of any real information on the situation makes it hard to have a proper conversation on it.
What we do know for sure is that the initial report was based on facts that were already known to be false, such as making references to an alleged contract that prevented Holmes from remarrying after her divorce with Cruise.
Unsurprisingly, the same report also made references to Scientology and Cruise’s involvement with it, although it is hard to verify how much of that could have been right, given the shroud of mystery that surrounds the religion most of the time.
While there have been no official statements from either Cruise or Holmes regarding the current state of things between them, the above rumors were reportedly disproved by someone close to Holmes herself.
Of course, it is worth pointing out that this could be misleading itself, a fact that seems to be making some fans anxious to find out more. Knowing Cruise though, it is more likely that the actor would prefer to keep the situation under wraps for good and move on with his life ignoring the rumors.
An insider said Holmes would like for Cruise to be more involved in their child’s life.
The person explained: “Katie has grown so tired, disappointed, and frustrated with Tom’s absence as a father.”
The source added: “She has made peace with Cruise’s lifestyle, work, and spiritual choices, and has decided to do her best to parent Suri on her own.”
It is unclear where all of the parties involved will end up in this messy situation.
