For those who have been wondering if there is a chance that The Weeknd and Selena Gomez could make up and possibly get back together, it looks like the breakup is official now.
Fans, who follow The Weeknd on Instagram, might have noticed a little shrinking in the number of his posts, as the singer has recently deleted all photos involving Miss Gomez from his account, on top of unfollowing her.
The relationship of the two celebrities did not last long by most standards, but ten months can actually be a remarkable achievement in the world of pop stars.
Moreover, while some fans were hopeful that the two could rethink things and reignite the spark, Gomez seems to have already moved on. Alternatively, rather, moved back to a past interest of hers, none other than Justin Bieber.
A source close to Miss Gomez said they are in love and added: “Selena is hoping that Justin will spend Christmas with her and her family. The timing was not right for them to share Thanksgiving together, and Selena was a bit disappointed they were apart for the holiday. She missed him terribly over Thanksgiving, and Selena does not want to spend another holiday apart.”
Whether that relationship will actually go anywhere is hard to tell, especially given the way it ended in the past, but some suspect that it could have been a tipping point for The Weeknd, who is now seemingly trying to completely distance himself from the talented actress.
And if any of you are wondering if Gomez has responded in kind, that’s not the case, at least for now.
Her Instagram still shows a few photos of The Weeknd. Nobody familiar with her general attitude is surprised by that though, as Gomez has always been one of the more mature celebrities, and tends to have a level-headed approach to most things in her life.
